ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY SERVICES

Renewed interest in Enhanced Oil Recovery has lead to vigorous demand for our One Spot Pilot test services. This test provides in situ evaluation of prospective EOR techniques. We have been very active over the past several years in assessing EOR programs including: Alkaline-Surfactant-Polymer (ASP), Lignin-Surfactant-Polymer, Surfactant-Polymer, Lo-Sal Water Flooding, Miscible Hydrocarbon / WAG, and Carbon Dioxide.

We've been there

Our experience in evaluating the efficacy of EOR programs in situ has inadvertently positioned us a leader in EOR pilot scale operations, as well as evaluation. Scaling up EOR programs from bench scale to reality always presents a series of unforeseen difficulties. CTI has unparalleled experience in dealing with those difficulties. We know what to expect, what works, and what doesn't. If you are beginning an EOR field operation, CTI is here to assist you in the operation and evaluation of your field.

Program Evaluation

Differential analysis in situ

CTI understands enhanced oil recovery evaluation. We measure the residual oil saturation of the reservoir before and after EOR implementation to provide a differential EOR performance under actual reservoir conditions. Furthermore, the non-destructive nature of the SWCT method allows us to evaluate several EOR processes from a single well.

We have tested nearly every EOR method ever developed, and have the experience and know-how to assist in the development and testing of new injectants - for any reservoir, anywhere in the world.

Pilot Scale Assessment

Providing confidence

Reservoir engineers are understandably nervous when asked to scale up an EOR program for multiple well injection based solely on laboratory results determined on a centimeter scale. The most common practice is to do a proof of concept 5 well pilot program to evaluate an EOR program under actual reservoir conditions. However, 5 well pilot studies typically cost 10's of millions of dollars and require over a year of operations before conclusive results are obtained.

CTI provides an accurate, reliable, cost effective test that can be used to verify laboratory results under reservoir conditions, typically within a month. Our One Spot Pilot test series will drastically reduce the scale-up risk associated with implementing an EOR program, and is quick enough to use for fine tuning the chemical blend prior to either a larger pilot program, or a full scale EOR operation. The One Spot Pilot is an essential tool for any reservoir engineer developing an EOR flood.

The One Spot Pilot test provides a non-destructive solution to rapidly evaluate EOR flood performance over a pore volume of 100s of barrels. The testing is usually carried out on an existing well (or wells), producing anywhere from 100% oil to 100% water.
