The One-Spot pilot concept is shown here. The strategy is to first measure Sor to establish the IOR target saturation and then carry out a small scale IOR injection to alter the Sor within a 20 foot radius of the well-bore. This IOR injection is followed by an injection of water to push the IOR process chemicals and mobilized oil away from the treated pore space and repeat the SWCT test for Sor. The exact reduction of Sor caused by the IOR process can then be determined from the before and after SWCT Sor results. This One-Spot pilot scheme can be completed in about one month.
